Serving Highland Village Drivers

The Closest Full-Service Collision Shop to Highland Village

Highland Village sits in an unusual position on the DFW body-shop map. It's affluent enough that most households run two or three cars — a daily-driver SUV, a weekend vehicle, a teen driver's hand-me-down — and compact enough (about 16,000 residents inside a five-square-mile footprint) that the nearest legitimate I-CAR Gold Class collision shop is a short drive down FM 2499 rather than around the corner. That math is why we see so many HV license plates in our lot: the customers who've compared options tend to land here.

The damage patterns we see from Highland Village are specific to the city. Marketplace parking-lot dings and bumper scrapes are the most common — Central Market and Barnes & Noble share an always-full lot, and the luxury-SUV density (Tahoes, Escalades, Q7s, X5s, Model X, Range Rovers) means replacement bumper covers and sensor-bearing fascias cost real money when handled casually. The second recurring pattern is FM 2499 rush-hour rear-enders: the Long Prairie Road corridor between Justin Road and Garden Ridge gets heavy commuter stacking both directions, and low-speed impacts there routinely damage radar brackets behind the bumper that most shops miss on a visual estimate. Third: weather-exposed driveways. Plenty of HV estate properties have two or three garage bays but a fourth or fifth vehicle that lives outside — so hail, branch strikes, and driveway backing accidents come through our doors regularly from the neighborhoods around Doubletree Ranch Park, Unity Park, and the Copperas Branch Park waterfront off Lewisville Lake.

We treat every one of these repairs the way the engineers intended — computerized frame measurement on every collision-damaged unibody, OEM parts on every safety-critical component, pre- and post-repair diagnostic scans, and full collision repair plus paint & refinishing under the same roof. Lifetime paint warranty. Free loaner cars. No charge for the written estimate. Start online below, or walk in any weekday between 8:30am and 5:30pm — we're 10-12 minutes away.

What We Handle

COLLISION & AUTO BODY SERVICES FOR HIGHLAND VILLAGE

The damage patterns we see most from the 75077 corridor — plus everything else.

Rear-End Collision Repair

FM 2499 stacking accidents, Marketplace lot low-speed hits. Bumper, trunk, sensor-bracket, and parking-camera recalibration — done to OEM spec so your safety tech comes back online correctly.

Front-End Damage

Hoods, fenders, headlights, radiator support, and frame horns. Airbag, crash-sensor, and condenser replacement on OEM procedures — never recycled guesswork on safety-critical parts.

Parking-Lot Dings & Scrapes

The Highland Village Marketplace signature repair. Door dings, bumper curb rash, cart hits, runaway-door damage. Spectrophotometer paint match, 1-2 day turnaround on most.

Frame Straightening

Computerized frame measurement on Blackhawk Korek + Hein-Werner SHARK. Accurate to 1mm of factory dimensions. Free on every collision vehicle — even estimate-only visits. Frame repair detail →

ADAS Recalibration

Lane-departure cameras, blind-spot radar, adaptive cruise, and parking sensors — calibrated to OEM static and dynamic spec after every collision that could have bumped the mounting geometry. Skipping this is how safety systems silently fail.

Paint & Refinishing

PPG Envirobase waterborne basecoat in a downdraft heated booth. Color-matched to your vehicle's factory paint code via spectrophotometer — metallics and pearls included. Lifetime warranty. Paint service detail →

The DG Standard

WHY HIGHLAND VILLAGE DRIVERS CHOOSE DG

Not the closest chain shop to HV — the closest shop that does the work the way the manufacturers intended.

01

Gold Class is the shop-wide I-CAR designation — held by only ~10% of U.S. body shops. Platinum is the individual-technician certification covering structural repair, steel GMA welding, and aluminum GMA welding. Both matter on modern Highland Village vehicles: an aluminum F-150, a Tesla Model X, a BMW X5 with mixed-material construction all need joining techniques general shops often get wrong.

02

Insurers have preferred-shop lists. Texas law — Insurance Code §1952.301 — says you don't have to use them. When an adjuster pushes you toward a network shop, you just say "I want my vehicle repaired at DG Collision Center, 693 Metro Park Cir, Lewisville, TX." Call done. We handle the claim paperwork, adjuster scheduling, and supplement negotiations from there.

03

Free loaner cars on every collision repair from our 50+ vehicle loaner fleet. Pickup coordination available for Highland Village customers who need a ride home after drop-off — we'll get you back to The Highlands, Chapel Hill, Castlewood, or wherever you live. Rental reimbursement through your policy is handled directly with Enterprise if your coverage includes it.

04

Lifetime paint warranty for as long as you own the vehicle — not three years, not "until you trade it in," not proration nonsense. We also offer deductible assistance up to $1,000 on qualifying repairs, applied directly at pickup. Combined with a free written estimate and direct-to-insurance claim handling, most Highland Village customers pay less out of pocket than the initial deductible number suggests.

Three Recent Repairs From Highland Village Drivers

Customer identifying details omitted; vehicles and circumstances are real recent work from 75077 drivers.

2023 Lexus RX 350, Chapel Hill — sideswipe in the Highland Village Marketplace parking lot at FM 2499 and Justin Road. The other driver backed out of a stall while our customer was pulling through the aisle; contact was low-speed but dragged down the driver-side front door, fender, and outside mirror housing. Lexus OEM door skin and mirror assembly with blind-spot camera module sourced through Park Place Lexus Plano — parts on our dock in 3 business days. Frame was not involved; computer measurement confirmed 0.8mm variance on the Blackhawk Korek bench. Repainted in Nebula Gray Pearl (three-coat pearl — requires careful blend into the adjacent front and rear doors to avoid tiger-striping), then recalibrated Lexus Safety System+ blind-spot module on our Autel MaxiSys target board. 5 business days door-to-door; driver had a free loaner and State Farm settled direct with us.

2021 Toyota Highlander, Castlewood — rear-ended on FM 2499 southbound at the Business 407 signal during afternoon school-release traffic. Low-speed impact (about 12 mph) crumpled the rear bumper cover, pushed the trunk lid inboard, and damaged the Toyota Safety Sense rear radar module behind the bumper. Toyota parts availability was excellent — Toyota of Lewisville had the bumper cover, radar module, and trunk lid in-stock; parts on our dock within 48 hours. Rebuilt the bumper assembly, re-aligned the trunk-to-quarter gaps to factory spec, color-matched the Celestial Silver Metallic via spectrophotometer, then ran full static and dynamic Toyota Safety Sense recalibration before delivery. 6 business days total; Allstate handled the claim with Progressive as the other-driver carrier.

2020 BMW X5 xDrive40i, Lake Vista — storm-branch strike on an uncovered driveway during the May hail season. A large branch broke off during a 60+ mph gust and dropped across the hood, denting the hood skin, cracking the windshield, and bending the driver-side A-pillar trim cap. No structural damage to the A-pillar itself (verified on the bench — within 1mm of factory). New OEM BMW hood shell (aluminum on X5), windshield through our preferred mobile-glass partner, and A-pillar trim replacement. Color-matched Mineral White Metallic via spectrophotometer with a three-stage blend into the fenders. Recalibrated BMW Driving Assistant forward-facing camera after windshield replacement — standard procedure on every BMW windshield job. 9 business days; Chubb agreed-value policy settled direct.

If any of these sound like your situation, start your estimate below or call (972) 219-0864 — we'll walk through what the repair will look like before you commit.

Common Questions

HIGHLAND VILLAGE COLLISION REPAIR FAQ

How far is DG Collision from Highland Village?+
About 10-12 minutes door to door. The direct route is south on FM 2499 (Long Prairie Road) out of Highland Village, then west on Garden Ridge Blvd and Valley Ridge Blvd into the Metro Park Circle business area in Lewisville. From Highland Village Marketplace at the FM 2499 / Justin Road corner, plan 10 minutes outside rush hour and 12-14 during FM 2499 peak.
Do you pick up vehicles or provide loaner cars for Highland Village residents?+
Yes to both. Free loaner cars are available for any Highland Village customer whose vehicle is in for collision repair, subject to availability — we hand you the keys at drop-off so you keep your routine. For drivers whose vehicle isn't safe to drive down FM 2499, we coordinate customer pickups within the Highland Village corridor and 24/7 towing anywhere in DFW. Call (972) 219-0864 to arrange.
Which insurance carriers do you work with for Highland Village customers?+
Every major carrier: State Farm, Allstate, Geico, USAA, Progressive, Liberty Mutual, Farmers, Nationwide, Travelers, Tesla Insurance, and more. Under Texas Insurance Code §1952.301, Highland Village drivers have the legal right to choose any licensed repair shop regardless of what's on their carrier's preferred-shop list. Your insurer must honor that choice. We handle the entire claim — supplements, parts negotiation, adjuster paperwork — directly, so you aren't chasing phone calls from home.
Is my collision repair covered by a warranty?+
Yes. Every paint and refinish job carries a lifetime warranty for as long as you own the vehicle. If the paint ever peels, fades, or cracks from our work we make it right at no charge. Our structural and workmanship warranty covers labor for a full year on any subsequent issue. We've stood behind every repair since 1978.
What factors affect collision repair cost in Highland Village?+
Severity of damage, OEM parts availability, vehicle make and year, aluminum vs steel construction, and whether ADAS sensors need recalibration. Highland Village's luxury-SUV mix (Tahoes, Escalades, Range Rovers, Model X, Q7, X5) tends toward higher parts costs than a mass-market sedan, but our pricing ranges and procedures are identical regardless of neighborhood. Your written estimate is free and itemized down to the labor hour.
Do I need an appointment?+
No. Walk-ins are welcome during business hours — Monday through Friday 8:30am-5:30pm and Saturday 10am-1pm. For Highland Village customers who want to minimize the trip, text damage photos to (817) 907-2822 first and we'll give you a ballpark before you drive down FM 2499.
How long will my repair take?+
Light cosmetic damage (parking-lot scrapes, door dings, bumper scuffs): 2-4 days. Typical bumper-and-panel repair: 5-7 business days. Major collision damage requiring frame straightening or structural welding: 2-3 weeks. We text photo updates throughout the repair and coordinate your loaner car so you aren't waiting without transportation.
Do I have to use my insurance company's preferred shop?+
No. Texas Insurance Code §1952.301 gives you the right to choose any licensed collision repair facility regardless of what's on your carrier's preferred-shop list. Just tell your adjuster: "I want my vehicle repaired at DG Collision Center, 693 Metro Park Cir, Lewisville, TX." That one sentence locks in your choice and we take over the paperwork.
Can you help with my deductible?+
On qualifying collision repairs we offer deductible assistance up to $1,000 — applied directly at pickup. Combined with our direct-to-insurance claim handling and free loaner, most Highland Village customers pay less out of pocket than they expected when they first called.
Does my insurance cover a rental car while my vehicle is in the shop?+
Depends on your policy. Rental reimbursement is a specific add-on coverage; not every policy includes it. If your policy does include it, we coordinate directly with Enterprise. If it doesn't, our free loaner car program covers the gap for any Highland Village customer whose vehicle is in for collision repair, subject to availability. You are never left without transportation.
Are your technicians certified?+
Yes — DG Collision Center is I-CAR Gold Class certified (the shop-wide designation held by only ~10% of U.S. body shops) and individual technicians hold I-CAR Platinum certification for structural repair, steel GMA welding, and aluminum GMA welding. We're also PPG and Sherwin-Williams certified for refinish, and BBB Accredited A+. That training matters most on modern vehicles common in Highland Village driveways — aluminum-body F-150s, Tesla Model 3/Y/S/X, BMW and Audi mixed-material construction — where the wrong welding technique can compromise the frame's crashworthiness.

Collision Terminology

COLLISION REPAIR GLOSSARY

Quick reference for the technical terms that show up on estimates. Tap any term on mobile to expand.

OEM Parts (parts)
Original Equipment Manufacturer parts — made by the same supplier that produced the original part at the factory. Required for airbags, structural reinforcements, and crash sensors on every repair.
Unibody (structure)
Modern vehicle construction where the body and frame are one integrated welded structure. Collision damage to a unibody vehicle requires frame measurement and structural repair to factory dimensions, not just panel replacement.
ADAS (systems)
Advanced Driver Assistance Systems — lane-departure cameras, blind-spot radar, adaptive cruise, parking sensors. Most ADAS components require recalibration after collision repair. We perform both static and dynamic calibrations per OEM spec.
Pre- and Post-Repair Scan (diagnostic)
Electronic module scans performed before and after repair to identify fault codes that may not trip dashboard warning lights. Most insurance "preferred shops" skip this step; we don't.
Supplement (insurance)
An addition to the original insurance estimate when hidden damage is discovered during teardown. Good shops fight for legitimate supplements; cut-rate shops skip repairs the original estimate didn't cover.
Texas §1952.301 (law)
Section of the Texas Insurance Code that guarantees policyholders the right to choose any licensed collision repair facility regardless of an insurer's preferred-shop list. Highland Village drivers are protected by this statute.
Spectrophotometer (paint)
A handheld device that reads the exact color values of your vehicle's factory paint. Used to produce a mixing formula that matches the panel being refinished to the panels around it — critical for metallics and pearls.
Loaner Car (customer service)
A courtesy vehicle provided free of charge to customers whose vehicles are in for collision repair — DG maintains its own fleet of 50+ loaner vehicles. Covers the transportation gap when a customer's auto policy doesn't include rental reimbursement.
